King Coco Loco speaks about street life but his songs are unique they are filled with lyrics that do not glorify pushing drugs, robbing, and other illegal activities instead his songs tell the reality of what a life of misguided and not fully thought out actions can lead to. Songs like “It Aint Worth It” illustrates that poor choices can result in prison or death. Loud and clear he voices that everyday freedom such as seeing your family, friends, and simple things like decent meals will no longer be available to you.
Artist Coco Loco keeps it 100% honest and shows great courage by stepping up in an environment such as California that has one of the largest gang populations in the country. King Coco Loco through this song spreads the word that there are greater things in this world than jewelry and money. And if you want expensive items the right way to obtain them is by working for them. This song goes further to explain that his adolescent decisions cost him enough years of his life and that prison will not have any more of his valuable life or time. He questions his listeners by asking is the trade off of fast money is worth 10 years of your life? The song ends with the words it aint worth it.
